Similarly to English, the plural form of the word ‘Freedom’ is rarely used in Hebrew. In this calligraphy artwork Gabriel Wolff explores one of his main fields of inspiration. He says: “the concept of Freedom has always been present in my life. At first, I was trying to notice the lack of it in different life situations. Later on, I’ve realised that the question wasn’t whether freedom was possible but rather what kind of freedom was relevant. Noticing the different kinds of Freedom has taught me a valuable lesson about choice, hope and faith. This work embodies this realisation: Freedom is always there. Yet it is often hard to recognise, as it is appears in different forms.”
